Farm Chore Day & Picnic - Saturday, June 20th
It’s summertime, and boy do we have the summer chores! Please help us care for the animals and maintain our beautiful sanctuary grounds and buildings by pitching in with farm chores. We need a BIG turnout for our special monthly FARM CHORE DAY -- volunteers are asked to arrive between 9 -11 a.m. and commit to a three hour chore task. Chore time will be followed with a vegan picnic (provided by Animal Acres) and a special tour with our fabulous tour guide Ciddy Fonteboa. Please note: Volunteers must be age 18 or over. 4th of July PIGNIC – Saturday, July 4th Noon to 4 pm
Come celebrate a festive Fourth at Animal Acres! Join us for our annual PIGNIC for farm tours, face-painting, delicious picnic food, and old-fashioned field games like our watermelon eating contest and gunny sack races! Stuff your face with watermelon, frozen treats and our cruelty-free twist on the traditional "Fourth of July" barbeque! Our celebration will be in full swing from 12 noon to 4:00 pm with food served all day and field games starting at 2:00 pm. Reservations are not required - Tickets are just $7 per adult and $5 per child (12 and under) and admission price includes a FREE soydog and beverage.
Vegan Potluck Tour – Sunday, July 12th 11 am to 3 pm
Animal Acres hosts public tours every Sunday, but on July 12th, we will be holding a potluck tour day to introduce everyone to great tasting and nutritious vegan food! It’s a great tour day to bring friends and family to encourage people to adopt a healthy and humane diet. Enjoy a sanctuary tour at either 11 am or 1 pm, and gather in our beautiful courtyard for a vegan potluck at noon. Please bring a vegan dish to share (that can serve 8 -10 people). Tours are just $5 per person and FREE for 2009 Animal Acres members (you must bring your 2009 Animal Acres membership card to receive free tour for you and a guest.)
